EX-88 is an extremely clear, tough, high gloss surface coating formulated to produce a deep glass like appearance in a single layer on a sealed surface. EX-88 has an open time of 25 minutes if poured immediately after mixing (70F). Warmer temperature will reduce open time, therefore it is recommended to pour immediately to allow for self-leveling of the epoxy and maximum bubble release.
EX-88 is waterproof, heat & alcohol resistant.

I've been using this product for +12 years on a range of different projects, but mostly "bar tops" and slab tables. I have little experience with other products but recently had a friend use a different (more expensive) 2-part epoxy with an open time of around 48 hours. In my experience, based off relative humidity and temperature, the open time for EX-88 has been anywhere from 45 mins to 1.5 hours. Based on the project material and porosity, at least one seal coat is needed; never hurts to do more than one for better insurance you're not chasing major bubbles. If you follow basic directions and pay close attention to humidity and temperature, with the aid of a torch, this product produces a glass like finish. The extremely low VOCs are a welcomed experience as well, especially noticeable in a confined space. The customer service is one of the best I've experienced across any industry. I would, and do, strongly recommend this product for your epoxy needs.
